ABOUT
This course combines hands-on teaching methodology and strategic curriculum designing. The student will venture into an exciting journey in learning Arabic.
The program will focus on development in grammar, morphology, reading comprehension, translation, vocabulary, conversation, and writing in Arabic.
Students upon completion of the intermediate Arabic program will be able to understand 80% of the Quran
- Learn Quranic vocabulary
- Dive into the world of Quranic grammar
- Understand Quranic morphology
- Analyze Quranic verses in Arabic
- Analyze Hadith texts in Arabic
- Build reading comprehension
- Understand 80% of the Quran in Arabic

- Ability to read Arabic fluently.
- Ability to write Arabic.
- Background on basic Arabic grammar.
INSTRUCTOR
Sh. Zakareeya Baksh
RELIGIOUS DIRECTOR
Zakareeya has a library of classical books in his brain. He delivers engaging lectures and makes them relevant to his audience. He is an avid researcher and always eager to discover new things.
He was raised in NY and has completed his memorization of the Quran with multiple Ijazahs, as well as many classical Arabic texts.
He graduated with both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Islamic Studies from International Open University.
He currently serves as the Resident Scholar at the largest Islamic Center in NYC, the NYC Muslim Center.
